Description
A safer alternative to metal hospital beds, ideal when dignity, comfort, and fall risk reduction all matter.
The Accora Contesa is a full-electric, low-height care bed designed to support safer mobility, pressure-relieving positioning, and caregiver ergonomics, without the institutional appearance of traditional hospital beds.
Used in residential home care as well as skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and long-term care environments, Contesa combines Accora’s FloorBed® technology with a warm, furniture-style aesthetic that helps preserve dignity and comfort for residents and patients.
Engineered for long-term use, the Contesa delivers clinical functionality in a form that blends naturally into bedrooms and care spaces.
Who This Bed Is For
- Seniors aging in place who need adjustable positioning and safer transfers
- Individuals recovering post-hospital discharge or receiving long-term care at home
- Residents in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care facilities
- Users who require caregiver assistance but benefit from a low-height bed design
- Families and facilities seeking a safer alternative to metal-frame hospital beds
Why Choose Accora Contesa Bed?
- A Hospital Bed That Looks Like Furniture - The Contesa is designed to deliver hospital-grade positioning and safety while maintaining a residential, furniture-style appearance. Its wood-finished headboards and footboards help reduce the clinical feel often associated with care beds.
- Full Electric Mobility & Comfort - Electric height, backrest, and leg-rest adjustments allow users to reposition smoothly for rest, therapy, and daily activities—supporting chronic care, rehabilitation, and caregiver-assisted use.
- Ergonomic Working Height for Caregivers - With a platform height adjustable from 3.9 inches to 29 inches, Contesa offers a lower minimum height than standard hospital beds, helping reduce fall risk and support safer transfers, while remaining distinct from ultra-low floor beds
- Low-Height Design to Reduce Fall Risk - While not an ultra-low bed like the FloorBed1, Contesa offers a lower height profile than standard hospital beds, reducing fall risk and easing transfers.
- Perfect for Aging in Place - Durable construction, smooth and quiet motors, and a high safe working load make the Contesa suitable for continuous use in both residential and professional care settings.
- Optional Accessories for Enhanced Care - Compatible with assist bars, safety rails, lifting poles, and other functional aids that increase independence and safety.
FloorBed® Technology & Fall Risk Reduction
Accora’s FloorBed® technology is designed to help reduce bed-related falls by allowing the bed to be positioned close to the floor.
For residents at higher risk of falling, optional safety mats can be added to help transform potential falls into controlled rolls, minimizing impact. Accora safety mats are designed to align with the height of the mattress, helping avoid sudden drops if a resident rolls out of bed.
